Woodcrafters CIC has developed a nationally recognised approach to Woodcraft for Wellbeing – blending traditional green woodworking skills with evidence-based wellbeing practices.

Our Facilitator Training Programme equips you with the skills, confidence, and frameworks to deliver safe, engaging, and impactful sessions for adults, children, and diverse community groups. Whether you are a teacher, outdoor educator, youth worker, or social prescriber, this training provides the practical and professional foundation you need.

Training Structure

Our Online Facilitator Training is a professional, practice-based course designed to help you deliver safe, inclusive and meaningful woodcraft sessions in your own community.

Through interactive online learning, you’ll gain the skills and confidence to guide others in experiencing the wellbeing benefits of working with wood and nature.

  • Online Modules — 7 engaging modules combined with video tutorials and a self-paced introduction to the Woodcrafters model, safety, and facilitation principles in our facilitator handbook

  • Facilitator Journal — an interactive workbook designed to support your learning with quizzes and practice based tasks designed to help integrate your learning

  • Planning & Delivery— plan and deliver session in your setting with our adaptable risk assessments, session templates and resources designed to support your practice so you can get carving pronto!

  • Ongoing CPD Opportunities - Woodcrafters facilitators are invited to continue their learning through the Woodcrafters Facilitator Course (in person training) & ongoing CPD workshops, online modules, and community gatherings.
