Alex is an award-winning wood carver, published author, Arts Council DYCP awardee, and professional grant writer with experience supporting social enterprises and community organisations to secure funding. He is the founder of Woodcrafters CIC, a MAKE Southwest member, and is based in South Devon.
He brings something most grant writing workshops can't offer: he's sat on all sides of the process — as an applicant who has been funded, as a practitioner who helps others get there and as an assessor who has sat on funding panels analysing applications
